<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-xk-WHeAMn18/Vv3L933kOfI/AAAAAAAAA3A/Ext8zFNLBE0KsduvlhTSYKeuIEV6hxAgQ/s1600/IMG_1886.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="286" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-xk-WHeAMn18/Vv3L933kOfI/AAAAAAAAA3A/Ext8zFNLBE0KsduvlhTSYKeuIEV6hxAgQ/s320/IMG_1886.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Our DS will be 47 years old tomorrow, I always ask him how he got to be that old, the years have gone by so quickly. It seems like only a few years ago that he was living at home, going to school, and beginning his own life.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-H4_qKkDFu0g/Vv3OwcmPLfI/AAAAAAAAA3Q/uS-VcERnCIc-qSc1r6gi1Ts71doX5hEzw/s1600/102_0398.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-H4_qKkDFu0g/Vv3OwcmPLfI/AAAAAAAAA3Q/uS-VcERnCIc-qSc1r6gi1Ts71doX5hEzw/s320/102_0398.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
When he was 14 years old, DH helped him buy his first car and he's never slowed down. These two pictures are him checking one of the race cars that the two of them have had. He's so talented and works so hard, and they have won many races, including Alabama State Championships and National Championships.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rj5q39KZTkg/Vv3OwW1AsOI/AAAAAAAAA3M/VW6Wrmv0aSsFv7PmnYHUNHENL0qsOayyQ/s1600/102_0399.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rj5q39KZTkg/Vv3OwW1AsOI/AAAAAAAAA3M/VW6Wrmv0aSsFv7PmnYHUNHENL0qsOayyQ/s320/102_0399.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
They are BFF's and have a wonderful relationship. We are so blessed that our children are loving and respectful to us and all the people that they meet. (Both of them would hate that of all the pictures, I chose to use this one.)</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-SNmDbmpm8Bc/Vv3POvBl3dI/AAAAAAAAA3U/RntqpfugHT47XYQBN1dHW55M90u48PbOA/s1600/IMG_0322.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="233" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-SNmDbmpm8Bc/Vv3POvBl3dI/AAAAAAAAA3U/RntqpfugHT47XYQBN1dHW55M90u48PbOA/s320/IMG_0322.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My "little boy", and his daddy. It seems like yesterday that I was in the hospital, checking his tiny fingers and toes. DH didn't see him until he was 6 months old because he was in the Army and in Viet Nam when he was born. My Daddy called him his fishing partner and Mom showed him how to cook and be "self-sufficient ", so his future wife wouldn't have to wait on him hand and foot.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
He's the father of 6 children, 3 grandchildren, (with another one on the way), and has taught them respect and love for others. His greatest heartache was the death of his 13 year old daughter when she was killed in a car accident, but his faith in God has helped him through it, (although we don't always understand God's reasoning) and he says one of these days he knows he will see her again and understand.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
As a Mama, I could write a book, I'm so very, very proud of this young man and love him dearly. So I'll close and save something for another day.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hope y'all have a blessed evening, and thanks for stopping by........</div>

The hall linen closet's door can now be closed, and the extra blankets have been donated to the homeless.<br />

<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-a-6KEJx4dLk/VuyxDX2g5nI/AAAAAAAAA2g/FsY9nSTHQy4FP1q2gEZjw6pS7bjTsM7Cg/s1600/SANDYSCOMPUTER%2B-%2BWIN_20160315_153807.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-a-6KEJx4dLk/VuyxDX2g5nI/AAAAAAAAA2g/FsY9nSTHQy4FP1q2gEZjw6pS7bjTsM7Cg/s320/SANDYSCOMPUTER%2B-%2BWIN_20160315_153807.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My sewing and crocheting have always been my escape or "zone out" if I needed some quiet time. Anyway, while trying to make a special sanctuary for myself, I have added some of my favorite items to the sewing room. My uncle from West Virginia, who died in 2003, bought the plate on the left while they were visiting us, and my aunt graciously gave it to me. It always amazed me that Uncle Dan knew about antiques, my DH knows what he likes and is beginning to learn about antiques. The plate brings back memories that make me smile. The crochet angel on the left was made by my aunt, given to my mom, and it now resides at my house. The angel on the right was made by a friend that lived at the local retirement home. The other items have been thrifting finds, and angels added to my collection. The other side of the room isn't finished so I'll post those pictures later.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope everyone has a wonderful, blessed weekend.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Three weeks ago one of my older granddaughters gave me an unexpected late Christmas gift. Our family is growing and I thought it was understood that presents would only be bought for the smallest grandchildren and the greats. Well, anyway, I bought for her baby but not for them. So,,,,, I came home and crocheted an afghan. It is Christmas colors and hopefully she will enjoy it for a little while before our 100 degree weather returns. Tonight the lowest temperature is 27, so I need to get this to her quickly.</div>

I was lucky to be one of the first people preview an estate sale.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-SQtMRfAHmZo/Vrkt-d6d_aI/AAAAAAAAA0c/UJ5ldFbUkIY/s1600/SANDYSCOMPUTER%2B-%2BWIN_20160205_104621.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-SQtMRfAHmZo/Vrkt-d6d_aI/AAAAAAAAA0c/UJ5ldFbUkIY/s320/SANDYSCOMPUTER%2B-%2BWIN_20160205_104621.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
There were quilts and a chenille bedspread !!! She charged $10.00 for each piece, and I gladly paid that and QUICKLY loaded them into my car.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-A6764JsQeGE/VrkuBtF8fUI/AAAAAAAAA0o/0vzjcnIfWHA/s1600/SANDYSCOMPUTER%2B-%2BWIN_20160205_104846.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-A6764JsQeGE/VrkuBtF8fUI/AAAAAAAAA0o/0vzjcnIfWHA/s320/SANDYSCOMPUTER%2B-%2BWIN_20160205_104846.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The hexagon quilt has been used and loved, but the colors are still pretty. The binding can be replaced or sewn over. A hexagon quilt is on my to-do list, it would be a great carry along project while going to doctor appointments.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The next quilt is in prime condition and apparently was a present to the lady. She was involved in sorority functions and it was presented to her. The butterflies are so cute, and each is embroidered differently, with the seamstresses name on the blocks. </div>

Both quilts are large enough for a queen bed and I'm anxious to use them. I also bought a sewing box, never used, so it makes me wonder if the owner sewed at all. She has a daughter but obviously she wasn't interested in the quilts. Truthfully, I didn't need them either but couldn't leave them behind.<br />
<br />
God bless and hope y'all have a great evening.Sandyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06677571865146221066noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4706718826057290881.post-73822736313892972462016-01-28T22:41:00.001-05:002016-01-28T22:45:27.759-05:00A Fun Day....Our youngest granddaughter spent the afternoon with us while her mom was working.<br />

She is home schooled and I made the attempt to help her with the Math. Have y'all seen the new math? It uses a base of 10 for adding and subtracting..!! How many ways can 50 - 40 = 10 be explained !!! I told DD that I hope I didn't confuse her with the "old" Math.<br />

This is the latest project on the design wall...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WWoH4UgoCJU/VpmudJmBCiI/AAAAAAAAAyk/BBRJfhY_ShY/s1600/SANDYSCOMPUTER%2B-%2BWIN_20160115_213450.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WWoH4UgoCJU/VpmudJmBCiI/AAAAAAAAAyk/BBRJfhY_ShY/s320/SANDYSCOMPUTER%2B-%2BWIN_20160115_213450.JPG" width="180" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-XOcb2AwsBDM/VpmucsovTeI/AAAAAAAAAyc/taNyFOvWFZ4/s1600/SANDYSCOMPUTER%2B-%2BWIN_20160115_213435.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-XOcb2AwsBDM/VpmucsovTeI/AAAAAAAAAyc/taNyFOvWFZ4/s320/SANDYSCOMPUTER%2B-%2BWIN_20160115_213435.JPG" width="282" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
This is the first quilt I've ever made for the "public". A friend of my DD saw her T-shirt quilt and asked if I would do one for her to give as a gift for her friend. This is how DD's quilt looks now:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8rVj4xMCRXk/VpmuazLAcvI/AAAAAAAAAyQ/GpT1p-nJxP8/s1600/SANDYSBEDROOM%2B-%2BWIN_20150120_131422.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8rVj4xMCRXk/VpmuazLAcvI/AAAAAAAAAyQ/GpT1p-nJxP8/s320/SANDYSBEDROOM%2B-%2BWIN_20150120_131422.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-JfEkB8qcLLo/VpmuasfuxvI/AAAAAAAAAyI/mauTGEwduNg/s1600/SANDYSBEDROOM%2B-%2BWIN_20150120_141850.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-JfEkB8qcLLo/VpmuasfuxvI/AAAAAAAAAyI/mauTGEwduNg/s320/SANDYSBEDROOM%2B-%2BWIN_20150120_141850.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It has been "loved" and used, with the backing replaced twice. But that's what they're made for, right!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It makes me happy to know that she has enjoyed it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Due to some hospitalization, her new quilt didn't get made before Christmas, so ........</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
If you read my blog, do you have any suggestions on the fees you would charge for a quilt.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Thanks for your ideas.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Have a blessed night and hugs to everyone.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>

<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MfIkjawLdX8/Vo8vKAeX2XI/AAAAAAAAAwE/An9CMA2HR7E/s1600/SANDYSCOMPUTER%2B-%2BWIN_20150913_160540.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MfIkjawLdX8/Vo8vKAeX2XI/AAAAAAAAAwE/An9CMA2HR7E/s320/SANDYSCOMPUTER%2B-%2BWIN_20150913_160540.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Several years ago, my Aunt gave a fabric pack to my Mom. As I was cleaning Mom's stash, I found the pack and decided it would be nice to re-gift the fabric. In September I visited my aunt and </div>
presented the fabric as a table runner. She was pleased and surprised and didn't remember giving Mom the packet. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="254" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-AD9vIZhd0yA/Vo8vJdu9qzI/AAAAAAAAAwA/LjAgJtzgWCw/s320/SANDYSCOMPUTER%2B-%2BWIN_20150913_160553.JPG" width="320" />The colors look odd in the pictures, but they are more Fall-like and were appropriate on her kitchen table. The pattern was a disappearing 9 patch -- which is one of my favorites because the corners match but don't have to be extra perfect.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
(Some of the news and pictures are this past year but my family reads the blog, and this is a good way to share. I appreciate you reading my blog, so please bear with me.)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hoping everyone has a blessed evening. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br /></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
This year has been so busy; family, friends and health issues. <br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9ViqDQ_G-Ps/VoXhmvYyYzI/AAAAAAAAArM/iuFRb6nkYgc/s1600/SANDYSCOMPUTER%2B-%2BWIN_20151017_115114.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9ViqDQ_G-Ps/VoXhmvYyYzI/AAAAAAAAArM/iuFRb6nkYgc/s320/SANDYSCOMPUTER%2B-%2BWIN_20151017_115114.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
My creative GD learned to make pot holders, she enjoys crafts and sewing.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Wc7X5-vKmKA/VoXhiG-QZ4I/AAAAAAAAArI/H5vSQchj_t0/s1600/SANDYSCOMPUTER%2B-%2BWIN_20151021_182050%2B%25282%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Wc7X5-vKmKA/VoXhiG-QZ4I/AAAAAAAAArI/H5vSQchj_t0/s320/SANDYSCOMPUTER%2B-%2BWIN_20151021_182050%2B%25282%2529.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Itty is always looking for his "mom". The puppies won't allow him into their domain and if I'm in their room he climbs up on the edge of the door, hanging there until I return to the other room so he can follow me... sometimes he acts more like a dog instead of a cat.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-zuLnU3K7sBM/VoXpPTF-kiI/AAAAAAAAAr0/cNxDu5hzFRI/s1600/SANDYSBEDROOM%2B-%2BWIN_20150131_155406.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-zuLnU3K7sBM/VoXpPTF-kiI/AAAAAAAAAr0/cNxDu5hzFRI/s320/SANDYSBEDROOM%2B-%2BWIN_20150131_155406.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I went to some estate sales and found new treasures -- lol, - new treasures that I really didn't need. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The potato chips and can were made by Anheuser Busch ... </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My children will gladly tell you that I don't need any more dust collectors. I jokingly tell them that they will have an inheritance, they just have to sell it a piece at a time on eBay !</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This post was started a few days ago, there is a lot more to talk about but for now, this will be the end.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Thanks for stopping by, please leave a comment.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hoping everyone has a blessed evening.....</div>

DH and I visited with his parents today, had lunch and did our most favorite thing to do ---- Junking.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I like old books, this one is printed in 1944. Usually I don't read them but use them in decorating.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The inside cover is pretty -- an old street scene.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
This is the first book that I've seen this comment : "This book is manufactured under wartime conditions in conformity with all government regulations controlling the use of paper and other materials"<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I knew some food quantities and gasoline were rationed during that period of time but didn't realize paper was included.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
We have gathered so many "treasures" and have considered opening an Etsy shop. I'll have to research that a little more but it seems to work well for other bloggers.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Our south Georgia weather is soooooo terribly hot !! It was 101 degrees this afternoon, and definitely not the time of year to buy chocolate to eat on the way home from grocery shopping. The evenings don't cool off much --- usually 75-78 degrees.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Fathers Day is one of those holidays that is never quite the same after your father dies. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My dad died in 1988 from a cerebral hemorrhage and diabetes complications.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Until his medical retirement, he was in the military and civil service. My grandmother had to sign for him to join the Navy because he was fifteen years old.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
He never had structure in his family and after years of skipping school and getting into various other troubles, the judge said "military service or jail". </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
After completing 3 years in the Navy, he returned home to West Virginia looking for a job, not finding one he then joined the Army. Daddy was "cable splicer" , he climbed phone poles with cleats long before the buckets were made for the guys to use today. He liked to go to craft fairs and "junque" stores, buying the colored glass telephone insulators, which now sit in window sills at my house.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Since he was a veteran, he was able to be buried in Andersonville National Cemetery. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Andersonville was a Civil War prison camp and there are many "Unknown" soldiers grave markers.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ACTDq_P2qLo/VYcF8AR7ypI/AAAAAAAAAlQ/Y1f3hJYaVfI/s1600/IMG_1159.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"></a><br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3ioj12XIM88/VYcBS9rKgwI/AAAAAAAAAko/Uqor7nnXkX8/s1600/IMG_1121.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3ioj12XIM88/VYcBS9rKgwI/AAAAAAAAAko/Uqor7nnXkX8/s400/IMG_1121.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Five dates during the year that the Boy Scouts in this area add a flag to each of the graves. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
There is such a reverence and patriotism in the park. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-GWDG_HF-gWU/VYcC47kyZ3I/AAAAAAAAAk8/1sMyaDC9o74/s1600/IMG_1124.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-GWDG_HF-gWU/VYcC47kyZ3I/AAAAAAAAAk8/1sMyaDC9o74/s400/IMG_1124.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Directly across the road is the little town of Andersonville. The main street is in front of the antique stores, and there isn't a red light or a grocery store. It definitely has the "small town" feeling.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ACTDq_P2qLo/VYcF8AR7ypI/AAAAAAAAAlQ/Y1f3hJYaVfI/s1600/IMG_1159.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ACTDq_P2qLo/VYcF8AR7ypI/AAAAAAAAAlQ/Y1f3hJYaVfI/s400/IMG_1159.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
In May, my daughter and I met there to take pictures. She has a photography business and was adding some pictures to her website. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PbKZEUUHb-4/VYcYJFFUi_I/AAAAAAAAAls/Q2fvV6V7DoE/s1600/IMG_1133.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PbKZEUUHb-4/VYcYJFFUi_I/AAAAAAAAAls/Q2fvV6V7DoE/s400/IMG_1133.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />

<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-I5VImbINK20/VYcYJJlzaEI/AAAAAAAAAlw/oCcy1t9cE0E/s1600/IMG_1139.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-I5VImbINK20/VYcYJJlzaEI/AAAAAAAAAlw/oCcy1t9cE0E/s400/IMG_1139.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
Yesterday we went to her house for supper to honor her dad (my husband) and her husband.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This picture is DH and our granddaughter that lives in Texas.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hope you enjoy the remaining pictures.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />Sandyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06677571865146221066noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4706718826057290881.post-20259421092328922132015-06-03T23:07:00.000-04:002015-06-03T23:07:20.814-04:00Muscle cramps or fibromyalgia?While I was in town this afternoon running some errands, my leg cramped up so bad that I couldn't walk to the back of the car to go into Wal Mart. It was so strange, I couldn't put any weight on my leg and hip. I moved the car to a closer parking spot and with the help of a shopping cart, I was able to get to the pharmacy, to pick up medicine for the hubby. It still hurt while I was driving home, preparing lunch, taking the dog to the vets, making supper and now 9 hours later, massaging and Biofreeze, it's beginning to ease up. <br />
<br />
I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia a few years ago, but my grandfather had MS. My husband and I cringe every time something goes wrong with my limbs or muscles.<br />
<br />
Anyway, thank God the pain is easing off. We know so many people that have leg or walking problems, including my hubby, and today I only felt a small portion of what that must feel like.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-JFUf-pq0B3o/VW-_Qd-JohI/AAAAAAAAAkU/y6iwHVAi2Bk/s1600/IMG_0444.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-JFUf-pq0B3o/VW-_Qd-JohI/AAAAAAAAAkU/y6iwHVAi2Bk/s320/IMG_0444.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Dukes was the patient at the vets today. It was time for her yearly check-up, rabies shot, and seasonal allergies. Dukes is a female but she's named after a friend that was killed in a tornado, and it's so strange, because she's just as stubborn as he could be. <br />
<br />
Thanks for visiting, and have a blessed evening.<br />

I've been reading blogs for most of the day, had typed one, and it disappeared somewhere in blogger land. <br />
The missions and youth of our church will be having a yard sale next Saturday, so I spent last week gathering household items. I was mistaken, and thought the sale was yesterday but thankfully it is next week. There are several totes and boxes I want to sort through. So far, in the fellowship hall, I have filled a table and a half !!! <br />
<br />

<br />
My son, daughter-in-law, and grandchild were here for Christmas. This picture is of him and his immediate family, including our first great grandchild. Miss J is in the previous post -- she certainly has grown. Time passes so quickly. <br />
<br />
The rain has begun, thank goodness. God's rain is better for the flowers and tomatoes plants.<br />
We haven't had rain for some time, so the farmers have been irrigating their crops.<br />
<br />
Hope you all have a wonderful week, may God bless you.Sandyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06677571865146221066noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4706718826057290881.post-20539321145074106722015-05-17T22:03:00.000-04:002015-05-17T22:03:16.717-04:00I will begin this blog by thanking you for opening it and spending time with me. Please leave a message and let me know who you are.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div>I've been playing around with something new -- PicMonkey -- it's free and easy to change pictures. Brenda at Cozy Little House had the website on her blog, so I thgought I'd try it...<br />
<br />
Puba likes the above picture because his "lil pup" is sitting on his shoulder. But it isn't a flattering picture of him. oh well, he said take the picture, and put it on my blog so everyone could see his baby.....<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xxnTE-WcICA/T4Nprxf1NUI/AAAAAAAAAgk/Yn2YEVxG2eQ/s1600/101E2456.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" nda="true" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xxnTE-WcICA/T4Nprxf1NUI/AAAAAAAAAgk/Yn2YEVxG2eQ/s320/101E2456.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>The second picture was taken at our granddaughters birthday gathering. It's a much better picture of him but, of course, I'm not fond of mine...I always thought I'd grow old gracefully - well, maybe the graceful part is on the inside !!<br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
This has been the first post since we lost our Grandpa Sparky, some of the days are very diificult for us, and other days we can rationalize with ourselves because we know he's in Jesus's house, waiting for the rest of us..<br />
He always enjoyed the family gatherings and especially loved Miss K and Bug...he was a sucker for anything they wanted to do. The evenings are the hardest for Mom, they had so many things in common and laughed a lot and she really misses that. She won't come live with us at this time -- "maybe in a couple of years".<br />
<br />
Once again, thanks for reading my blog -- I enjoy my blogger friends..Sandyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06677571865146221066noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4706718826057290881.post-51897942083573478492011-12-01T22:31:00.000-05:002011-12-01T22:31:08.946-05:00My Dad<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-UeFerodoBkE/TthAMdUtIqI/AAAAAAAAAfw/JBgZem1vAbo/s1600/100_3346.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-UeFerodoBkE/TthAMdUtIqI/AAAAAAAAAfw/JBgZem1vAbo/s320/100_3346.JPG" width="320" /></a></div> I thought I was ready to post again but maybe not ----- Our Grandpa Sparky, my dad, passed away Oct 26th. (I type this through tear filled eyes) We celebrated his 93rd birthday Sept 19th, he got sick the first week in Oct, was in ICU and rehab and ICU again. Dr. S pulled him through the first time in ICU, but gave him 2 units of blood to perk him up. The second time he got sick his body was too tired, the Congestive Heart & Kidney failure was too strong. Dr S couldn't get the water out of his body and he slipped peacefully away from us. We all know he's in heaven but miss him terribly. Mom is doing ok -- she's a strong woman, a survivor and has such a zest for life. He always said the prayers at family meals and on Thanksgiving she did that, -- she did a great job, thanking God for our Sparky.<br />
<br />
A blogging friend said I'd know when I was ready to start writing again, and that it could be a healing place. She's right-- thanks for listening..Sandyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06677571865146221066noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4706718826057290881.post-13452841580949564122011-08-31T21:18:00.004-04:002011-09-01T08:12:18.578-04:00Making Cookies<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-q9JNR_hkzFU/Tl7Zi9_NClI/AAAAAAAAAe4/dPg1GrBQxxA/s1600/103_5798.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-q9JNR_hkzFU/Tl7Zi9_NClI/AAAAAAAAAe4/dPg1GrBQxxA/s320/103_5798.JPG" width="320" /> <u style="color: black;"> Every Christmas for as long as I can remember we have had "Special Raisin Cookies" made by my Grandma or Mom. </u></a></div><br />

<br />
Mom: "Sam, what do you want for supper?"<br />
Sam: "I don't know, but how do snowmen walk?"<br />
<br />
LOL!!!! What !!! where did that thought come from? It's 100 degrees outside and she's thinking about snowmen. I never thought about it - and it was a pretty good question. If it snows this year, we will have a snowman with legs... <br />
<br />
And Sam is 3 years old --- do you remember your children coming up with such questions? I don't..<br />

<br />The setting was a beautiful Southern plantation type -- with the ceremony outside, gnats and all...if you're not from South Ga, gnats are little bugs that fly around your head, and you try to swat at them the whole time you're outside. Fortunately, the bridal couple had the cutest fans made with their and the wedding party's information on them. And the barbecue, potatoes, slaw and extras made a marvelous supper...
<br />
<br />All is well in the Southern state.....

We've had enough rain, that the grass has begun to grow, or at least turn green and not brown..<br /><br />The cloud of dust around him still shows we could use more rain but we're all grateful for what we did receive. The fields around our house are still very dry and if the farmers aren't using water irrigation, the crops won't make this year.<br /><br />We're going tomorrow for more peaches and tomatoes. I'm going to try canning the first batch of tomato sauce, attempting to use my friends recipe. <br /><br />Keith doesn't know I took this picture and he'll be so surprised when my daughter reads this blog to him.!!! haha YAYA, Keith.....Sandyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06677571865146221066noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4706718826057290881.post-21481165504767009602011-07-19T21:05:00.005-04:002011-07-19T21:32:23.929-04:00Mom's Birthday<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8EaNg5NllN4/TiYq68dRovI/AAAAAAAAAbo/EYMgg6kCspc/s1600/100E1064.JPG"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8EaNg5NllN4/TiYq68dRovI/AAAAAAAAAbo/EYMgg6kCspc/s320/100E1064.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5631235576223081202" border="0" /></a>Today is Mom's birthday - she's 83. I can tell her age because she doesn't read my blog...lol...<br /><br />Saturday night we had her birthday dinner with some of the family. Two of our grandchildren live out of town, so it's hard to get them all here at the same time.<br /><br />She reminds me more and more of my grandmother every time a picture is taken of her. She continues to loose weight - sometimes trying, sometimes not. When she was younger she weighed 300 pounds and it was difficult to even know she was pregnant with me. After loosing the weight she has always been careful of the amount and kind of food she eats. She didn't indulge in french fries or fried foods and still ended up having high cholesterol. !! They both are growing like weeds - getting so tall. Miss K is in the blue shirt - she looks just like her daddy, freckles and all...<br /><br /><br />The last piccie is our DIL, Miss S painted a chicken for her - that's a long standing joke between the kids.. she really doesn't like chickens (her decor is Tuscan) and when Miss S saw it in Wally World she told her mom she had to paint that for Auntie R.. "she'll be sooooo surprised" "she can put it in her bedroom to look at every day"..<br /><br />And so goes the latest days of our lives !!<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6PreXjuWRGw/TiYrOls8QNI/AAAAAAAAAbw/myGhokdkIi8/s1600/100_1036.JPG"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6PreXjuWRGw/TiYrOls8QNI/AAAAAAAAAbw/myGhokdkIi8/s320/100_1036.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5631235913712156882" border="0" /></a>Sandyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06677571865146221066noreply@blogger.com1
